Throw Distance
The Fenix TK16 LED flashlight has a longer than most, maximum throw distance of 787 feet or 240 meters - significantly further than other competitive flashlights.

It features a CREE XP-L HI V3 LED bulb with a 50,000 hour lifespan.
Design / Functionality
The TK16 has a unique dual tail switch: one for turning off and another one on an angle. The angle makes the switch very accessible with a over-hand grip and thumb.
You can press and hold the angled button for strobe.
The nerling on the body makes it good to grip and feels good in the hands.

Waterproof / Water resistance
This Fenix LED flashlight is IPX-8 waterproof - meaning it’s good underwater for 2 meters and a duration of 30 minutes.
The IPX-8 standard usually indicates that the light is good in harsh weather conditions like heavy rain.

Battery
This Fenix flashlight uses a 18650 type of battery. Non-rechargeable batteries are recommended by Fenix. Keep in mind that these are not included so you’ll have to buy them separately.
However, if you purcahse the bundle off Amazon you can buy it with two CR123A batteries together.
As long as you buy a non-rechargeable 18650 battery, you should be okay. Aim for a higher mAh value for longer runtimes between charges.

If you’re looking for a dual-switch button tactical flashlight, we highly suggest the TK16. Along with the the nerling, the flashlight feels great to hold.
