Solaray is under the parent company, Natural Brands. What makes them stand out is that they only sell to consumer and not wholesale. Natural Brands operates in Michigan, United States - refreshing to see when compared to their Chinese-based competitors.
According to their product description, the ZX-1 Pro is designed for:

While this flashlight may be perfect for the above, we would not recommend the Pro ZX-1 for tactical or firearm use. For that, we recommend going with either the SureFire-G2X, Nitecore P12 or Klarus XT11GT.

The ZX-1 Solaray Pro advertises to output a max / high output of 1200 lumens. However, when compared to other 400 or 600 lumen flashlights, the ZX-1 does not appear to be brighter in reality. Despite that, it is still a very bright light but we’re not 100% certain about its actual max lumen output.

The high, strobe and SOS settings outputs at max. While medium to low has increasingly less lumen output.
It has a Cree XM-L LED bulb.
What is the max throw / flood distance?
The ZX-1’s maximum throw distance is over 150 yards with maximum magnification.

The ZX-1 is made with solid aluminum alloy with a hard-anodized finish.
Is it waterproof? Water-resistant?
The ZX-1 Pro is water-resistant, not waterproof. We do not recommend submerging this flashlight underwater, but it does well in rainy weather conditions.
Impact Resistance
The Solaray website advertises the flashlight to be shock-proof but internal parts are likely to become loose after a drop. Some users have also reported the zoom lens as being wobbly.
